Contact your nearest Goodwill. They take in medical equipment and refurbish it, then give it to people on fixed incomes. That would be my first call. You could also call the Salvation Army which has thrift stores, too. Sometimes medical items are taken to one location rather than spread out among the stores.
Your county health department might be a source of information on where to find one. Also try a large hospital which might have a used one in storage.
